Community Engagement

Our Community Engagement Survey 2022 is now closed. Thank you to everyone who took the time to fill in the questionnaire online, or returned by post.  We had 125 respondents, with 65% from Bridgetown-Greenbushes, and the Shires of West Arthur, Boyup Brook and Donnybrook-Balingup around 11% each. The declared weeds people have the most of are Blackberry and Bridal Creeper, and these were identified as the highest priority of importance. For vertebrate pests, the highest occurrence are rabbits and foxes, in which rabbits, foxes and feral cats are the highest priority. In terms of our delivery, participants identified free equipment hire, advice, and community coordinated rabbit control programmes as the services/events they would most likely participate in.

What can we do for you?

  • Assist you with the identification of your Declared Pests

  • Work with you to consider your best control options

  • On-site and on-farm visits; trapping, baiting and spraying

  • Assist with developing strategic biosecurity management plans 

  • Provide access to best practice equipment, advice and training, subsidised chemicals, and control materials

  • Workshops, demonstrations, and field days

  • Free loan equipment

  • Advocate of your behalf with third parties regarding Declared Pest matters.
